Gordon Office Development
Inten was awarded a Site Supervision Construction management Contract for this $5,000,000 renovation which involved turning the existing Warehouse space in to Office space. This was done by cutting in a new lift shaft, adding an additional level of car parking on top of the building with a prestressed waterproof slab. It also included excavation and construction of a new Plantroom to house the air-conditioning plant that serviced the two office levels, new windows to the façade and new amenities blocks to each level.
The developer had leased an entire floor prior to commencement of the project with an occupation date of 6 April 2002. Works commenced on site in early November 2001 and despite almost six weeks of rain delays the project was handed to the tenant for fitout and occupation on the stipulated dates.
At one stage all of the following trades were on site at the same time to achieve critical handover dates: Demolisher/excavator, Formwork, Reinforcement Fixer, Concreter, Windows Fixer, Gyprocker, Painter, Tiler, Electrician, Air Conditioner, Plumber and Carpet Layer.
